Love: Earth’s Currency

A reflection for Back to Eden – Paradise Not Lost

There’s a kind of wealth that doesn’t glitter. It isn’t tucked away in bank accounts or bound in vaults. It can’t be taxed or traded. And yet, it’s the most valuable thing we can give or receive.

“And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.” —1 Corinthians 13:13

Today, I invite you to remember: the truest currency of this world is love.

What Is Earth’s Currency?

Love sustains us. It’s what makes the world not only bearable but beautiful. Unlike money, love multiplies when it's given away. It deepens, expands, and roots itself in places we may never see.

In the soil beneath our feet, plants participate in a quiet economy. Through a mycelial network, they share nutrients, warning signals, and support—no expectation, no ledger. Just connection. Just care.

So it is with us. When we choose to love—when we nourish, forgive, or listen—we become part of a sacred network that brings life.

Love in Creation

Creation itself is a love letter.

Lavender fields waving in the breeze. Sunrises that paint hope into the morning sky. Healing herbs tucked into the earth’s green pockets. The hush of night calling us to rest. The bloom of spring reminding us to begin again. And fall—the leaves reminding us to let go.

Every rhythm, every cycle, every breath is an echo of divine love.

We weren’t just made to survive. We were made to feel wonder, to give and receive beauty, and to live in tune with the goodness that surrounds us.

Giving Without Transaction

Love isn’t a transaction. It isn’t a trade or a tally.

It’s the warm meal delivered to someone too weary to cook. A handwritten note that says, you are not forgotten. The act of tending a garden or rocking a child to sleep. The presence offered to someone in pain.

These gestures don’t carry a price tag. But they carry the weight of heaven.

Love given freely transforms. And somehow, in the giving, we’re healed too.

A Currency That Never Loses Value

In a world where everything seems to shift and shake, love holds.

It restores what’s broken. Nourishes what’s withered. Brings beauty even into grief.

When we give love, we anchor ourselves—and others—in something eternal. Something unshakeable.

It doesn’t rust or rot. It isn’t subject to inflation or scarcity. It simply grows.

Back to Eden: Stewarding Love

Bliss Box isn’t just a collection of beautiful things. It’s a vessel—carefully prepared, prayerfully offered, lovingly filled.

Each item tucked inside is an act of stewardship: of the earth, of the body, and of the soul. A reminder that love isn’t abstract. It’s tangible. It’s the balm, the blessing, the breath.

And every time we choose to slow down, to nourish, to give—whether through a box, a word, or a quiet act of care—we participate in Eden again.

A Closing Blessing

Today, give a little love.

Plant a seed. Speak life over someone who’s forgotten their worth. Make a meal. Offer a prayer. Tend to your own spirit gently.

Because love—given and received—is never wasted. It is Earth’s truest currency.

And we are all made richer by it.
